These are some of the best times being a farm parent. These early mornings in the pasture or in the barn before everyone if off for the day.

In the above picture, my husband and son are chatting by the gate where they just moved a new calf and her mother to a separate pasture. They took turns carrying the calf and guiding the new mom into their new place.

It’s another opportunity to work together. It’s a time to notice how grown up your kids are. It’s interesting to talk with them about this exciting morning of a new baby on the farm. It’s just time to talk.

I really cannot think of another place that is better to connect and enjoy being with your kids.
