I am blessed to be a mom. I consider it extra special to be a farm mom.
My husband asked what I wanted for Mother’s Day. I think like most moms I just want to hang out with my kids. Especially as they get older, you hope they want to hang out with you too.
So, as things worked out. We were all together on Mother’s Day. It was a fun day. The weather was beautiful. We worked-together.
As part of our farm operation, we sell ear corn. While we have sold on an online platform, we also sell some wholesale in larger quantities. We had a large order to fill and this was the weekend to get it all done.
Everybody had a job to do. There was a conveyor to run and pull corn out of the wagon, sorting poor ears off the conveyor, loading more corn into the wagon, moving the bags on/off the scale, recording the weight, and moving the bags to storage for pick up.
My husband ordered in lunch and we ate under the shade trees.
We were all here together, doing what we do, and it was great.
